3. Remove the Rails

Remove the rails from the pool table using a socket wrench. Once the rail has been removed, wrap it in a moving blanket. Place the bolts and screws used to hold the rail in place in a plastic bag.

4. Pull Off the Felt

The felt is one of the first things on the pool table to age. If your felt is looking worse for wear, consider removing the felt from the table and getting a new one. Otherwise, carefully remove the staples holding the felt into place. Fold the felt up and place it into a bag for storage.

5. Remove the Slates

The slates are likely held to the pull table by screws. Use a power drill to remove the screws and put them in a safe place.
